Trade Clearing Risk and Control Specialist

Location: midtown NY

Duration: 6-months rolling

Pay Rate: C2C/1099 $350 / W2 $300 per day

Job Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced Risk and Control Specialist to join Trade Clearing team. As a key member of risk management function, you’ll be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with swap and futures trading. You’ll work closely with our trading, operations, and compliance teams to ensure effective risk management and control practices are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

– Monitor and analyze trade clearing activities for swaps and futures, identifying potential risks and control gaps

– Develop and implement risk-based controls and procedures to mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks

– Collaborate with trading, operations, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and effective risk management practices

– Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for process improvements

– Develop and maintain risk metrics and reporting to senior management and stakeholders

– Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to inform risk management decisions

Requirements:

– 3-5 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or a related field within financial services

– Strong understanding of swap and futures markets, including trading and clearing processes

– Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and CFTC regulations

– Experience with risk management frameworks and control practices

– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
