Operations Futures Trade Capture Analyst

Location: midtown NY

Duration: 6-months rolling

Pay Rate: C2C/1099 $350 / W2 $300 per day

Overall Summary of the Job:

The Futures Trade Capture analyst is responsible for ensuring executed trades are cleared and booked on top day and all required positions are reported accurately to exchanges and regulators.

Futures Market and Regulatory assurance team responsible for all Futures and options lifecycle events and position management.  Regulatory reporting responsibilities include all reconciliations of reported positions to the exchanges and regulators.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

•                     Monitor top day trade clearance covering markets globally

•                     Perform trade allocations and research any allocation issues with external brokers and internal traders

•                     Monitoring Give ups/ins as well as T1 out trades

•                     Respond to queries from Trades and clients. Follow up on unallocated top day trades

•                     Manage lifecycle events on Futures and Options.

•                     Option Expirations and early exercise and Assignments requests for all exchanges.

•                     Perform open interest and large trader position adjustments at the exchanges with CME FEC and ICE-ECS portals

•                     Ensure all Point Balance and Carry-Broker reconciliations are performed, and breaks are researched and resolved

•                     Perform Top day and T1 position close outs at all exchanges and carry brokers

•                     Manage physical delivery of products such as Metals and Fixed income.

Decision-Making Responsibility:

•                     The Market Assurance analyst will be responsible for decision making which will have regulatory and monetary implications.

•                     Candidate must be able to make decisions without direct or some supervisory oversight.

•                     Ability to coordinate directly with Front Office, Clients, Legal, Compliance, senior management and External regulators and Audit as needed

•                     Knowledge of market/exchange rules and regulations pertaining to the regional exchanges is preferred

•                     Decisions on trade corrections, lifecycle events and regulatory reporting will subject the bank to regulatory and monetary implications

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

•                     3-5 years experience with Futures or cleared swaps

•                     Strong Client Services experience

•                     Strong understanding of process, products, exchanges, and rules.

•                     BA/BS degree

•                     Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint

•                     Excellent understanding of Operational risk, procedures, and controls

•                     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
