Procurement Contract Specialist

Location: midtown NYC
Schedule: Hybrid 3 days onsite/ 2 WFH
Rate: Pay rate $50-$55 per hour

Duration: 6+ months contract to start strong potential to be extended or converted to full time employment with the firm.

A global investment bank looking to onboard for their Procurement Department, Procurement contract Specialist. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, this person will work closely with company’s Procurement Manager and BPO Service Provider who manage Technology, Facilities, Consulting, and Training categories (and subcategories). Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and relationship management skills together with strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
The work is fast paced, challenging, and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure and changing priorities, tight deadlines, be adaptable, and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate. A background in financial services is desirable, but procurement professionals with other industry experience will be considered.
Responsibilities include:
• Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
• Manage internal Client/Customer Relationships, improve customer satisfaction, meet established deadlines, promote procurement best practices, and bidirectionally communicate forecasts, needs, and opportunities.
• Procuring: Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts, and tender management
• Sourcing: Lead Sourcing Engagements (RFx, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Tactical Purchases)
• Manage, Develop, and Stabilize Vendor Relationships to improve business efficiency and value.
• Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
• Complying with Governance, Policies, and Procedures for risk management and mitigation knowing when to liaison and add the appropriate SMEs
Requirements:
• 5+ Years Procurement Experience across the entire Source to Pay cycle
• 3+ Years Contract Negotiation Experience
• Experience with Uniform Commercial Code Best Practices
• Expertise negotiating and managing License Agreements, Equipment Lease Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Subscription Agreements, and Service Level Agreements
• Exceptional Tactical and Logistics Management Skills
• Exceptional written and verbal Communication Skills with all levels of staff including C-Suite
• Detail Oriented, Meticulous, Highly Organized, Focused, and Objective Driven Personality
• High Ethical Standards
• Proficient in Data Analysis
